In an ancient palace of 600 stands the Hotel al Gazzettino, a
time when a laboratory tissue and subsequently inn that hosted the Turkish
workers and merchants who ran a business relationship with the "Serenissima".
Over the past 50 years takes its name from the famous newspaper Gazzettino
"which, until a few years ago, had its headquarters across the street.
More than a century of activity makes the Hotel al Gazzettino one of the most
famous structures of Venice, maintaining unchanged the hospitality and
cordiality which handed over the centuries, most enjoys a privileged position
for those wishing to visit the city.
The rooms, with bathroom and air conditionning, overlook a typical Venetian canal, along which our guests will be able to admire and hear the serenades on gondolas; a romantic background for hearts searching for or consolidating love in this romantic city.

The hotel is located in Venice's downtown, between S.Marco Square and Rialto Bridge, is a short walk away from the "Mercerie", the street with the most exclusive shops. It was a very ancient post, in the XIX century it was a textile workshop, later became an inn for the turkish tradesman arriving in town for commercial deals with the Republic of Venice "the Serenissima".
Arriving by plane
If you arrive by plane from the Airport Marco Polo of Venice, It is possible to reach the center of Venice in two different ways:
Taxi: in 15 minutes you will arrive in Piazzale Roma, the price is around 30 euros (radiotaxi Mestre tel. +39 041 936222).
From Piazzale Roma you can go ahead into the city walking or with the waterbus.
Arriving by train
The only train station in Venice is the one of S.Lucia.
It's linked with the remaing of Italy by Eurostar, Intercity, Iterregional and local trains (for the trains timestable you can refer to www.trenitalia.it).
The baggages can be easily transported out of the train Station using the hand truck available at the exit.
You could also leave them to the care of the baggage deposit (next to binary 14), opened every day from 06 AM to 12PM.
Arriving by car
Venice is easily reachable by car tanks to the highway (A4 from Trieste and Torino, A27 from Belluno, A13 from Bologna) and normal road (SS.309 Romea from costa Adriatica, SS.14 from Tireste, SS.13 from Treviso, SS.11 from Padova).
Once you get near Venice you can take Ponte della Libertà Bridge wich links the mainland to Venice. You can only reach piazzale Roma by car.
